A healthcare professional licensed as a California Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing care for an early childhood student in an educational setting. This contract position is based in Mission Viejo, CA, within a respected early childhood center.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care throughout the school day, primarily from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, five days per week
  • Perform suctioning, tube feedings, and respiratory support as required for the students medical needs
  • Coordinate transportation support between home and school, accommodating the students schedule and needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals or other assigned staff for supervision and assistance during the shift
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing procedures and student progress

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required; consideration may be given to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) with relevant experience
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing, particularly with early childhood populations
  • Proficiency in specialized care skills such as suctioning and tube feeding
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a single student throughout the school day
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with educational and healthcare personnel

This position is scheduled for the current school year contract duration, beginning as soon as possible through the end of the school year.
