A specialized nursing position is available to provide dedicated care for an early childhood student in an educational setting. This role involves working one-on-one throughout the school day with a young student requiring skilled health assistance, including suctioning, tube feedings, and respiratory support.

Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Duration: Contract for current school year (CSY)
Schedule: Approximately 5 hours per day, mostly 5 days per week, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Worksite: Single early childhood center

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to an early childhood student with complex medical needs
  • Perform routine suctioning, tube feedings, and respiratory support with clinical expertise
  • Collaborate with school staff and provide student transportation support between home and school
  • Partner with designated supervisors such as paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs, or LPNs to ensure comprehensive student care
  • Document health interventions and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in California; experienced LVNs with appropriate background may be considered
  • Prior experience working in school settings or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in respiratory care and enteral feeding procedures
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while providing compassionate, student-centered care
  • Reliable transportation to support student mobility to and from school
