Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diaper changes as needed, approximately four times daily.
  • Manage tube feeding during breakfast and lunch with monitoring and support, allowing the student to engage in other activities during feeding time.
  • Administer water intake multiple times a day using a bolus syringe method in any position the student is in.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and student health status.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff and healthcare teams to monitor and respond to the student’s health needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license in the state of Colorado.
  • Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Ability to handle suctioning procedures and trach care.
  • Competency in tube feeding and related medical interventions.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of young students.
