Job Overview

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services.

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common and some complex medical conditions.
Current licensure in the State of California.
Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Previous experience with computer-based systems is required; Electronic Medical Records experience is preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.). Review telemetry readings. Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease. Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care. Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office. ----------------------------- This is a 5/8's role and will comprise of 100% out-patient care. The general working hours for this position will be between: 8am to 5pm. There are no operating room or in-patient duties with this role. There are no weekends with this position.
