Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a Great opportunity for a Full-time Licensed Practical/ Vocational Nurse in (Endocrinology) at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. 

 

Position Highlights:

  • Excellent work/life balance | We staff Monday-Friday-- 0700-1800

Position Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:

  • Perform a full range of LPN/LVN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support

Position Requirements:

  • A graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program OR be a graduate of an accredited LPN program by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), OR have completed an equivalent military training program. Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Possess a minimum experience of six (6) months within the last two (2) years as an LPN caring for patients with diabetes mellitus.
  • Possess a minimum experience of one (1) year within the last two (2) years as an LPN working in a hospital, outpatient clinic, or acute care setting. 
  • Active BLS certification 
  • U. S Citizen

PRN LPN Staffing Support

Newport News, Virginia Overview Works under the supervision of the office manager, RN or clinical lead, and the physicians. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients. The LPN may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Medical Group providing hands-on clinical care to include manual vitals, medication review, injections and blood draw. The LPN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. The LPN may be responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of specific patient populations served in their assigned unit/dept.
