CMT Per Diem

Performs routine diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams for evaluation and treatment by physicians.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and
initiative to complete required procedures. May have access to areas where medications are stored
and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must meet the educational requirement for Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification with NMTCB or ARRT (NM)

Preferred:
Associate’s Degree or higher

Licensure/ Certification
Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT or NMTCB with documented Continuing Education to maintain registration/certification or meet requirements to be certified by NMTCB
Must possess advanced Nuclear Medicine Registry/Certification
CPR certified or obtained within 30 days of hire
Completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
Experience
One or more years of experience in the field of Radiology

Preferred:
Prior Nuclear Medicine experience

Position Summary The Point of Care Testing Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring institutional compliance with point of care testing regulations established by CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP accreditation agencies. The coordinator has primary responsibility for point of care testing performed outside the main lab. This position is primarily responsible for processing and analyzing a variety of biological samples obtained from patients under the direction of a general supervisor, department supervisor or designated technologist. Education: Approved course in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college or other recognized institution preferred. An Associate Degree is required. Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the State of Tennessee. Experience/Knowledge: Clinical Laboratory experience is desired, but consideration may be given to recent graduates. Candidates with Associate's Degree are preferred.
