Job Overview

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services.

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common and some complex medical conditions.
Current licensure in the State of California.
Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Previous experience with computer-based systems is required; Electronic Medical Records experience is preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Pay for this job starts at $160,680.00 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Working closely with all 20 physicians in the group, our Nurse practitioner will assist in managing high acuity post-op patients with the best care possible. Cardiovascular issues include but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in our outpatient setting with collaborating physician. Will assist with medication adjustments depending on patient's clinical status. Post operative cardiac evaluation. Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.). Review telemetry readings. Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease. Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care. Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office. ----------------------------- This is a 5/8's role and will comprise of 100% out-patient care. The general working hours for this position will be between: 8am to 5pm. There are no operating room or in-patient duties with this role. There are no weekends with this position. Candidates interested in this position MUST possess at least 1-year minimum experience in Cardiology, Cardiac, telemetry, or ICU. *** Prior or current experience working in a high acuity setting is REQUIRED*** Qualifications Educational Requirements: Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
