Position Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and oversight of nursing operations throughout the hospital during assigned shifts. This role ensures high-quality patient care, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective staffing and resource management. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a clinical and administrative resource to nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate or Bachelor’s degree required; BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of hospital operations, staffing models, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Work Schedule (Per-Diem)
- Flexible schedule able to work both Day and Night, as needed. Weekends as needed.
