This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team for our 20 bed TCU located within Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital at Bradford!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and works cooperatively with other nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.

Prerequisites:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.  RN or LPN.
  • Current Massachusetts Licensed Nurse.
  • One or Two years of previous acute or geriatric/adolescent or rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Current Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.

The standard nurse to patient ratio for the ADSU is 1:3. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the standards established by the American Nurses Association, and it is guided by a patient and family centered care delivery model of care. The American Association of Critical Care Nurses guide critical and progressive care nursing practices. Admission to the Adult Stepdown Unit will be managed by either the Critical Care Medicine Service or the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Service.
