Providing comprehensive nursing care in a high school setting in Orange, NJ, this full-time role requires an experienced Registered Nurse with active school nurse licensure and certifications in New Jersey. The position is a full-semester contract starting immediately and continuing through June 26, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing services to students across the entire high school building, managing a full caseload.
  • Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote student health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies.
  • Participate in health education initiatives and support students with chronic conditions or special health needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NJ school nurse licensure and certifications.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting (clinical experience alone is not sufficient).
  • Ability to manage a high school caseload independently.
  • Completion of required fingerprinting for both agency and school district.
  • Current Tuberculosis (TB) test and physical examination on file.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with students, staff, and families effectively.
  • Availability to work on-site for 35 hours per week.
