Responsibilities
Our Clinical Nurses (RN) in NICU independently perform clinical care to infant patients. Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence-based, high quality care to critically ill newborns and serves as a resource for other team members. Our 26 bed, Level III NICU is a part of the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center at Mercy.
Shift: Day/Night Rotation
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
- BSN Preferred
- Must possess 0-1 year of current clinical experience
- Must obtain 10 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange.
- RN License
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire
- NICU/PEDS - NRP within 6 months of hire
