Your role with us
As a clinical nurse in Advanced Wound Care, you’ll play a key role on a physician led, interdisciplinary team that provides expert care to patients with chronic, non healing, and complex wounds in an outpatient setting. You’ll support evidence based treatment plans that may include Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, biological skin substitutes, wound debridement, casting, and biopsies. Your nursing practice will be guided by a holistic approach to patient care—incorporating clinical judgment, critical thinking, and compassionate communication. You’ll be part of a team that values compassion, clinical skill, and collaboration, and you'll work in a setting where your expertise as a nurse makes a meaningful difference in each patient’s healing journey.
What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments of patients, integrating medical history and socio-cultural factors to guide care.

Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and wound care procedures in alignment with clinic protocols and individualized patient plans.

Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members to optimize outcomes for patients referred from primary care, surgery, oncology, and vascular specialties.

Educate patients and families about wound care management, healing expectations, and self-care practices, adjusting communication to meet individual learning needs.

Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record, including assessment findings, treatment plans, patient education, and clinical outcomes.

Uphold safety and infection control standards to maintain a clean and secure environment in our private wound care treatment rooms.

Participate in ongoing professional development and shared decision-making initiatives to support clinical excellence and high-quality care delivery.
Provide leadership and oversight to LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff, while serving as a resource and mentor for team members.
Required qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non-nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) and graduates of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply; ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon required.
- One year of nursing experience required.
