Willis Knighton Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) to join the system with a busy Cardiology practice.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), will work in collaboration with the physician primarily in the outpatient setting, caring for acute, chronically ill or injured patients. Responsibilities will vary depending on specialty.

Responsibilities And Duties

Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with a physician and may perform services authorized by the supervising/collaborating physician that are part of the physician's normal course of practice and expertise. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Collaborative Practice Arrangement (CPA) with a physician in like practice. Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her/their SA/CPA and delineation of privileges.

Job Description Under the general supervision of the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic Medical Director, Pain Clinic Medical Director, and Chief of Anesthesia, and in accordance with standardized procedures, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) role will work clinically in the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic (PAC). The Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic is an ambulatory clinic responsible for the preoperative assessment and optimization of patients undergoing surgery. The clinic offers telemedicine and in-person consultations. The NP role provides clinical and operational support to the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. General responsibilities are obtaining a health history, performing a physical assessment, identifying problems and formulating a plan that includes further diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification and counseling. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
