  • Utilizes the nursing process for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care
  • Multi-tasks, organizes, and prioritizes patient care utilizing an efficient, concise and goal outcome process
  • Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution for department needs
  • Anticipates preparation of cases and needs to enhance the efficiency of the team effort, i.e. punctual case start times, accurate and timely preparation of cases (instruments, supplies and equipment) and eliminates predictable case delays
  • Performs documentation on unit and patient records that is timely, accurate and concise
  • Initiates and investigates needed repairs, missing equipment, supplies and other pertinent areas and follows through to ensure resolution

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year Operating Room and/or CSOR experience within the last two years in acute care hospital OR
    2 years recent circulating experience in outpatient surgery center.
  • Associate's in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current California RN license
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

    NOTE:  If it can be supported operationally, training may be offered to applicants having 2 years of recent acute care experience in a Critical Care or Emergency Room.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred
  • Scrubbing and circulating experience
  • C.N.O.R. and T.N.C.C. certifications
