Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent performs the primary function of an RN in assessing planning implementing and evaluating the care of patients. The incumbent assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans and participates in performance improvement review activities. The incumbent acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws Joint Commission Standards and professional and ethical practice

 


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Recent 1 year wound care nurse experience required

AA degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required

Licensed or eligible for licensing in State as a Registered Nurse. Wound Care Certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer. WOUND CARE CERTIFICATION

Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required

 

Preferred Qualifcations

Recent 3 years wound care nurse experience preferred

BS degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co – workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patient’s treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Has the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state. 2. BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 3. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4. Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year). 5. Wound Care Certification within first year of hire 6. Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred Pay Transparency Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $55.32. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
