Frederick Health Medical Group (FHMG), a highly respected 160+ provider, multi-specialty medical group, is seeking a dedicated Advance Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our growing, mission-driven organization. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a collaborative, team-based care environment, providing high-quality care to patients across the hospital setting with continuity through community outpatient follow-up.

About the Role

The Advanced Practice Provider serves as a trusted clinician and clinical resource, delivering high-quality care through comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment, education, and follow-up.

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Physician Assistant: Graduation from an accredited PA program
  • Active Maryland license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider)
  • Unrestricted license with no history of suspension or revocation
  • Eligible for participation with all payers

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in Gastroenterology or adult primary care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR experience preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based environment
