Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assess resident’s needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care in a SNF setting. Director of Nursing (DON) Job Summary: Leadership & Management: Plan, organize, implement, and coordinate all nursing services within the Nursing Department to ensure high-quality care and maintain regulatory compliance. Communication with Administration: Keep administration informed of the nursing department's needs, unusual occurrences, challenges, and achievements, ensuring effective communication and continuity of quality care. Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead the Quality Assurance and Assessment (QAA) Committee, working closely with the QAA Coordinator and Administration. Responsible for timely auditing and reporting of required QAA data, and actively participating in committee meetings and tasks as directed by Administration. Staffing & Performance Management: Maintain optimal staffing levels by overseeing the recruitment, hiring, orientation, ongoing evaluations, scheduling, counseling, promotions, and disciplinary actions within the nursing department.
