Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus. Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing to ensure the smooth operation of the nursing department
Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the nursing staff, including medication administration, vital signs, and resident care
Collaborate with other departments, such as therapy, dietary, and activities, to ensure comprehensive care and programming
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and quality of life
Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff to meet the needs of the facility
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects
Maintain accurate records and reports, including census, staffing, and resident data.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a nurse or in a nursing leadership role, preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
Familiarity with nursing regulations and standards of practice
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
