  • Variable start times around 8:30am (8 and 9 hr shifts)

  • Call requirements approximately 3 weeknights per month,

    1 weekend per 14-16 weeks. Holiday call also.

  • 30 minute response time required

Where You Will Work:

Surgical Services is located on the second floor of our hospital. With many of our patient rooms facing lakeside. We support 7 Operating Rooms, 2 GI rooms, 7 PACU bays and 16 Pre/Post Operative Rooms.

Our department strives to have consistently high patient satisfaction and outcome scores. Each month, we receive wonderful letters and comments from patients who appreciate our care. Our team has been recognized for multiple hospital wide awards including nurse of the year, Daisy, and celebrating certification.

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Required to obtain ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Located along the shores of Lake Michigan, Aurora Medical Center - Manitowoc County features state-of-the-art facilities and patient rooms with views of either the surrounding lake or gardens.
