CNA - Full-Time, Evenings - With Sign On Bonus

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
Full-time | Evening Shift | $21.63-$26.78 per hour, based on certification year
Additional $2.00 Shift Differential and $1.00 Weekend Differential
$1,000 sign-on bonus, paid throughout the year

Schedule:
32-40 hours/week, 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm, weekdays and every other weekend with some holiday requirement

About the Role:
The CNA is essential in promoting and restoring residents' quality of life by delivering compassionate nursing care tailored to each resident's individual needs. This role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living in a skilled nursing environment
  • Provide hands-on nursing care as determined by individual care plans
  • Ensure resident safety and comfort while lifting, transferring, and supporting them as needed
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team member

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State certification as a CNA required
  • Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift
  • Capacity to push, pull, lift, and transfer residents, particularly when lifting exceeds 35 pounds
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork

Sign on Bonus up to $5,000 Summary Under the supervision and/or direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs various duties assisting in the care and treatment of patients/residents in accordance with established policies and procedures. Understands and adheres to GCMC’s Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they are changed or modified. Experience - Experience working with the elderly population preferred. - Must be listed in good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant with no findings of abuse, mistreatment, neglect or misappropriation of property/funds. Education High School graduate or GED preferred Essential Functions 1. Performs routine patient/resident care duties under the direction of the Registered nurse or LPN. 1. Assists with direct care of the patient/resident (dressing, grooming, ambulating, toileting, transferring). 2. Prepares and assists with meals and distributes water and other nourishments according to the needs of the patient/resident. 3. Measures vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure and reports them to the nurse. 4. Provides routine am/pm care and assists with routine skin care. 5.
