Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, One weekend/month, schedule will encompass all days based off of business needs
Your role with us
As a clinical nurse in the infusion center, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, individualized patient care by conducting thorough assessments, implementing evidence-based interventions, and coordinating comprehensive treatment plans. You will also communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring clear documentation and proactive planning for care transitions. Additionally, you will uphold safety standards, support unit operations, and contribute to professional development and leadership within the team.
What you'll do
- Patient assessment and monitoring are essential while conducting thorough, ongoing evaluations of patients’ physical, emotional, and educational needs to guide care decisions.
- Care implementation and intervention involve administering infusions and other treatments safely and competently, prioritizing based on patient needs, and responding effectively in emergencies.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans that reflect the patient’s condition and goals.
- Education and communication are key, providing patient and family teaching tailored to learning readiness and cultural background, while also communicating clearly and accurately with the healthcare team using tools like SBAR.
- Accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, responses, and teaching is maintained to reflect the patient’s progress and support continuity of care.
- Participates in leadership and team collaboration by engaging in shared decision-making, assuming charge nurse duties when assigned, and supporting team performance through mentorship.
- Safety and resource management responsibilities include maintaining a safe, organized environment, following infection control protocols, and assisting in managing supplies and staffing efficiently.
Required qualifications
- Associates Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Graduate of a Diploma RN Program with a minimum of 5 years acute care experience. ADN graduates with less than 5 years of acute care experience are required to sign an agreement to complete BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire.
- Active Basic life support certification.
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- 1 year of RN Staff Nurse experience.
