JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and supervising nursing care on the assigned unit, ensuring safe medication administration, balanced staff assignments, and high-quality resident care during their shift.
QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license

Supervisory experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare or long-term care setting

Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all staff

Compassionate, professional, and resident-focused

Working knowledge of applicable regulations (JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, HFS)

Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assign and supervise nursing staff, ensuring balanced workloads and quality care

Administer medications, treatments, and injections per physician orders

Monitor resident conditions, conduct rounds, and ensure Care Plans are followed and updated

Communicate with physicians and families regarding changes in resident status
-
Ensure accurate documentation, medication counts, and EMR compliance
-
Maintain infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
-
Prepare incident reports and coordinate resident transfers as needed

Participate in staff meetings and support facility policies and goals
