The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for adjusting staffing on all the nursing units based on acuity, volume and skill mix for bed assignments for all patients admitted, for the supervision of care given by all nursing staff in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and/or the Nursing Directors. He/she functions as a liaison between all departments and physicians, acts as the representative of hospital administration on hi/her assigned shift. Acts as a clinical resource, support for staff, interprets institutional policies/procedures, handles complaints in a professional manner, is involved in case management and in the coordination of patient transfers, and manages emergency situations, whether they involve patients, visitors, or employee illness or injury. Functions under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. Interacts continuously with all members of the nursing staff, all other hospital departments, patient's families and community members/agencies. All other duties as assigned by the CNO.
Education: Graduate of an approved school of Nursing - evidenced by obtaining Nevada RN License
Experience: Previous leadership and organizational ability experience preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
Licenses/Certificates: Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Nevada. Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Current ACLS, are required and must be maintained. NIMS certification is required three (3) months.
**Pay Range: $47.10 - $58.87 (depending on experience)**
