Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.

2. Current CPR/BLS and Handle with Care certifications (offered onsite).

3. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.

RN- Intensive Care Unit

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis. As a CCU RN, he/she will be part of the Rapid Response Team and will assist hospital staff in assessing, treating and transferring (if needed) deteriorating patients to the appropriate unit. RN- Emergency Department

Overview The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will work with a team of physicians, other nurses, patient care techs, and other professionals from various departments of the hospital such as Laboratory, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy. CRHS ED is a certified Level III Trauma Center, AR SAVES spoke site and receiving site, and a designated Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital (ArSRH). The ED RN is part of a team that provides care for traumatically injured patients, and critically ill patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as Heart Attack or Stroke. The ED RN works alongside the team with the common goal of providing compassionate, quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a fast paced environment. The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The ED RN must have a mind that is always assessing and triaging patient complaints and conditions with efficiency and accuracy. Overview The Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of neonates ranging from well newborn infants to those with special or intensive care nursery needs. Our Nursery is an 8 bed Level II special care nursery unit which provides care to newborns delivered in our Labor & Delivery unit who are under the care of our Pediatric physician teams from four local clinics. Common diagnosis and care provided to newborns in our Nursery include respiratory distress and oxygen support, jaundice and phototherapy, antibiotic therapy, hypoglycemia management and care of premature infants 32 weeks and older. Our Women’s & Infants’ team is supported by a full-time W&I Licensed Social Worker, Inpatient and Outpatient Lactation Support Services and a Women’s Center Outreach team.
