WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel.
  • Maintains established quality control standards.
  • Shows patients to exam rooms according to company standards.
  • Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
  • Processes appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion. 
  • Respects patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Must have experience with verifying insurances, pre-certifications and authorizations. 
  • Excellent communication skills and excellent work ethic.
  • Must be well organized with a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Must be reliable with a friendly phone and in person demeanor. 
  • Must have experience scheduling patients
  • Must be computer literate and have proven customer service skills. 
  • Handles sensitive patient information with confidentiality to ensure patient privacy per HIPPA Law. 
  • EMR Experience and in a surgical environment is a plus. 
  • Must be willing to travel for training. 
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to take initiative to complete solo projects. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology 
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Effective communication and customer service skills

Represent the C ompany in a positive light acting as liaison between the physicians’ offices and the associated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) , patients and the Center, purveyors and others who contact the C ompany . Acts as a member of the broader C ompany team . Also assists the front office area with whatever areas may need assistance . WHAT YOU'LL DO: A. Patient Services Welcomes and registers patients with proper etiquette, ensuring completion of forms and administrative admitting processes.
