WHAT YOU'LL DO: Clinical Responsibilities Provides high-quality customer service and adheres to quality control standards Coordinates patient care per physician instructions and company policies Escorts patients to exam rooms per company protocol Prepares patients for exams by taking histories and explaining procedures Conducts and documents patient intake Assists in dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, phototherapy, cosmetic treatments) using sterile techniques Supports routine lab tests (e.g., skin scrapings, swabs) Apply topical treatments or dressings under provider supervision Captures clinical photos for documentation and comparison Accurately documents patient care in medical records promptly Send prescriptions during visits and verify accuracy with provider Sterilizes instruments and keeps exam rooms clean by safety standards Uploads and maintains pathology, AK, MOHS, and FBX logs Verifies pathology log details (patient info, diagnosis, site, lab routing) Keeps cancer logs current and accurate Stocks rooms, monitors supplies, and alerts managers when low Maintains strict patient confidentiality Performs additional patient care tasks to support providers Patient Education & Support Asking every patient for a google review. Educate patients on skin care routines, including post-procedure care and sunscreen use. Explain treatment plans and follow-up instructions to help patients understand their care journey. Provide compassionate support for patients dealing with chronic skin conditions or cancer. Administrative Responsibilities Greetings and checks in patients, verifying personal and medical details Collecting all pertinent information at check in (MIPS Questionnaire) Updating the PA log, ensure codes are entered correctly. Checks prescriptions throughout the day — verify, highlight, and confirm accuracy Schedules appointments and manages follow-up and procedure calendars Handles calls, messages, Klaras, Tandem, and responds to inquiries including medication refills and general questions Makes timely outbound calls as needed Processes prior authorizations and communicates with insurance providers Orders and organizes medical supplies to maintain inventory levels Attends meetings and completes assigned trainings timely WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Required Skills / Abilities Demonstrates strong clinical skills with sharp attention to detail Communicates effectively and builds rapport with patients and team members Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite Handles sensitive patient concerns with professionalism and discretion Prepares and administers injections (Kenalog, Lidocaine, Epinephrine) Assists in minor surgical procedures and wound care using sterile techniques Adheres to infection control and safety protocols Understands and comply with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Practices universal precautions consistently Collects and processes lab specimens accurately In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and dermatologic procedures (Mohs, biopsies, excisions, radiation); skilled in-patient instruction Multitasks efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Represent the C ompany in a positive light acting as liaison between the physicians’ offices and the associated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) , patients and the Center, purveyors and others who contact the C ompany . Acts as a member of the broader C ompany team . Also assists the front office area with whatever areas may need assistance . WHAT YOU'LL DO: A. Patient Services Welcomes and registers patients with proper etiquette, ensuring completion of forms and administrative admitting processes. Collect co-payments and deductibles in accordance with Company policies , log accordingly Verif ies and enters insurance information and maintain confidentiality of patient records Obtains and enters pre-authorizations for workers compensation cases when necessary – performs follow-up on authorizations and pre-certifications . Take s vital signs and patient history, document in records. Receives, retrieves and places laboratory results in the medical record when appropriate – and receives appropriate sign-off for the post-op results (pathology requires MD sign-off) When scrubbed, is responsible for : Assisting with draping patient Arranging tray and instruments and supplies in a convenient/effective manner Assists surgeon throughout procedure by providing sterile instruments and supplies the surgeon requires to perform the proce dure ( 3a. Prepares specimens for review/pathology pickup Follows facility b iological monitoring documentation and procedure ) Cleans instruments at the end of each case Responsible for being familiar with and carrying out cleaning and sterilization procedures according to the policy including: Packaging and wrapping for sterilization Loading sterilizer for proper sterilization Recordkeeping for each sterilizer load Appropriate notation of each load Ensuring routine maintenance of the autoclave and other sterilization equipment Immediately informing the ASC Manager of any malfunction or need for possible need for repair Properly arrange and store sterilized instruments and supplies Assist in cleaning instruments and nursing areas in the facility. Assists as needed in the cleaning of the surgical area under supervision of the medical staff in charge: prior to the commencement of the first case; between cases; and at the end of each day procedures are performed Assists in pulling instruments and supplies for the following day’s cases Checks counters and equipment surfaces for absence of dust – removes with appropriate cloth if dust is present Performs other reasonable MOHS tasks as assigned by the ASC Manager or Provider in charge. Medical Records Management Assembles medical charts prior to the patient’s scheduled arrival time, placing forms in the proper established order, ensuring completeness and managing the records retrieval when necessary. Maintain s confidentiality, security, and physical safety of records and correspondence. G .
