Summary

  • Provides support to direct care staff. 
  • Nurse-led appointments for chronic disease management.
  • Procedures which may include IV’s, dressing changes, and others.
  • May include medication, infusion and immunization administration.
  • Facilitates patient flow. Advocate for patients as needed. 
  • Patient education.
  • Organizes patient health information and updates electronic health records.
  • Maintains emergency equipment and other resources needed to provide safe, high quality patient care. 
  • Provides management of pharmacy refill program for patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • Fulltime position - Working 60 hours every two weeks | Onsite

  • Daytime, 12-hour weekday shifts, varied start times | Includes every 3rd weekend rotation 8:45AM to 4:30PM 

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay begins at $33.98 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
    • Pay range: $33.98 - $50.96 per hour

Qualifications 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) current license in the state of Minnesota required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required with exception: inability to complete certification process related to a health condition. Employee must complete education portion of the BLS within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to work well with team members and act as a leader for the nursing department clinical staff. 
  • Good communication, computer, documentation, and time management skills. 
  • Nursing RN assessment skills as well as procedural skills within scope of practice.

In this multi-hospital float pool RN position, you’ll have an opportunity to work in rural settings at one of our critical access hospitals (Paynesville, Melrose, Long Prairie and Sauk Centre) and at our Magnet-designated hospital (St. Cloud). RNs in this role often work independently and must quickly adapt to different units' workflows and protocols, fostering a high degree of professional autonomy and confidence.
