Location: Fort Washington, MD
Schedule: 3 days per week | 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Position Type: Part-Time (with potential for more hours)

Duties

  • Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Prepare nutritious meals aligned with individual dietary needs and assist during meal times to promote independence.
  • Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment.
  • Engage in patient observation to identify potential health concerns early and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Providing medication reminders
  • Transporting to and from appointments
  • Cleaning and organizing the client’s bedroom
  • Creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Genuine compassion and love for caring for others

  • CPR certification required

Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client. Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees. Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor. Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: One year of documented experience as a Caregiver (HHA/PCA certificate). CNA license is highly desirable.
