  1. Position Title: School Nurse  Position Summary: To provide school nursing services for Preschool through Eighth grade students.   Duties and Responsibilities: The School Nurse is responsible to: Coordination:Assess the health and safety needs of the school environment in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, implementing the Blood borne Pathogen Control Plan and other interventions as indicated.
  2. Manages school health records
  3. Participate in the development of health-related policies and procedures
  4. Assists Principal with Disaster Preparedness Planning and Training
  5. Schedule yearly CPR and First Aid classes for staff
  6. Assist in providing Blood borne Pathogen information to staff
  7. Maintain medication protocol to safely store, administer, document and monitor medication given at school
  8. Maintain campus AED’s

Responsibilities The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. Makes frequent rounds throughout facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed. Directly supervises, provides support to and communicates with all staff house-wide. In the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility is extended to all services within the hospital.
