Starting Pay: $23-25 per hour (Based on Experience & Education)
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus ($625 paid at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year of employment)

In this important role, you will provide direct care and support to children ages 6 to 18 in a safe, trauma-informed environment.

  • Monitor patient safety and participate in crisis response as needed

What We Offer:

  • Starting Pay: $23-25 per hour, based on education and experience, plus differentials
  • $2,500 Sign-On Bonus paid in four installments during your first year
  • Shift Differentials: +$3.00/hour for weekday evenings/overnights, +$5.00/hour for weekend evenings/overnights
  • Schedule: Full-time, 7AM–7PM, 36 hours per week

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; certification as an LPN
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Kansas; valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Experience: Three to six months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be at least 20 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required.

Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of the licensing board. Communicates and works collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team i.e., medical staff, administration, clinicians, dietitians, and milieu personnel. Takes reasonable care and precautions to ensure high client safety standards and a therapeutic environment exist. This position is onsite at the facility and is not a remote position. Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of clients under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, while always maintaining the assurance of client safety and following unit and facility policies and procedures. Complies with all company safety policies and practices. Assists in relevant health and psychiatric teaching for client and family. Serves as a role model for clients and peers. Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans and nursing care. Effectively communicates with the medical staff, receives verbal/written orders, and takes care to minimize abbreviation or other errors. Participates in team conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members. CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
