Job Overview

The Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, assists in preparation of surgical services to ensure suite setup is appropriate.  Shriners Children's Spokane is looking for a part time Surgical Technologist to join the team!

 

 

**Upgraded Pay Range** The pay range for this position is $29.79-$44.69/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

** NO Nights, NO Weekends, Minimal Call, Minimal Holiday Call**

 

Responsibilities

  • Competency to create and maintain a sterile field, providing equipment and supplies, performing sponge, sharps and instruments counts.
  • Providing visualization of operative site.
  • Independently pulls cases utilizing preference sheets and OR special equipment lists.
  • Updates, reviews lists making changes as necessary. Reviews cases, and equipment prior to start of case.
  • Is scrubbed in and has equipment prior to patient arriving into the OR suite
  • Verifying efficacy of equipment, operating, maintaining, verifying, and recording efficacy of equipment
  • Determines and documents efficacy of equipment. Records reflect accurate description of operations, sterilization, and use of equipment
  • Familiar with proper assembly, operation, and disassembly of all OR equipment and attends in-service on new equipment
  • Attends in-service on new equipment, completes competency evaluation successful in operation and maintaining equipment used within the department
