We are currently hiring an experienced caregiver for a long-term, one-on-one in-home case in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This position is ideal for a caregiver who enjoys companionship-focused care, consistency, and building a strong working relationship with one client.

We are actively interviewing for this long-term placement.  We are focused on finding the right match for this placement.  

Schedule & Pay

  • Approximately 19–55 hours per week

  • Shifts typically 4–8 hours per day

  • Some weekend availability may be required

  • Pay range: $16.00–$18.00/hour, based on experience and fit

  •  We are open to either a full-time or part-time caregiver, as this schedule may be shared between more than one caregiver. 

About the Role

  • One-on-one in-home care (not a facility)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Able to live-in for a minimum of 3 days/week working 13-16 hs. Proof of current physical and TB testing. Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position. Must possess excellent communication skills. Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable. Pass a criminal background check. Provide verifiable professional and personal references. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand a client’s care plan and adequately implement it. Assist clients according to their care plan which may include: companionship, meal preparation and service, light housekeeping, transportation, shopping, medication reminders, bathing, body care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, positioning, transferring, toileting, and protective supervision. Notify the Care Manager of client concerns, changes in care or client condition and client emergencies. Notify the Care Manager and/or Staffing Coordinator of any safety concerns. Follow company Infection Control practices; notify the office if in need of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or supplies. Use the WellSky App Instructions to clock in and clock out for all scheduled shifts and accurately update your task status for each client prior to clocking out and leaving the client’s home. Conform to the company dress code and the no drug/alcohol use policy as specified in the Employee Handbook. Report to work on-time and ready for the day. Complete ongoing training as required by client care needs and/or changes in company policies and procedures. Be responsive to the Care Manager. Adhere to all company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: The caregiver is supervised by the Care Manager and receives scheduling direction from the Staffing Coordinator. PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL DEMANDS: Reposition and transfer clients, sustain weight of clients using proper transfer safety techniques and equipment (example: use of transfer belt while assisting client to transfer from bed to chair), and travel to client’s residence place of residence using a reliable means of transportation. FLEXIBILITY: We understand how difficult it can be to find a job that balances life and work. We’ll do our best to provide options that work with YOUR schedule. PAY: We pay weekly and could provide access to pay on demand through TapCheck. BENEFITS: Training.
