Synergy HomeCare of Walworth County is growing, and we have a unique opportunity for a blended role that combines compassionate caregiving responsibilities with essential administrative tasks, playing a crucial role in ensuring both the well-being of clients and the efficient operation of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

Caregiving duties

  • Providing personal care: Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Assisting with mobility: Helping clients move safely around their homes, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
  • Meal preparation and nutrition: Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Light housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including tasks like laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
  • Companionship and emotional support: Providing a stable and supportive presence, engaging clients in activities, and fostering social interaction.
  • Transportation: Driving clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.
  • Observing and reporting: Monitoring changes in clients' physical or mental health and reporting promptly to office staff.

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
  • Performing general office duties: handling correspondence, copying, and filing.
  • Maintaining client and caregiver records and updating databases.
  • Assisting with caregiver recruitment.
  • Screen applicants, check references and schedule interviews.
  • Monitoring schedules.
  • On-call rotation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Caregiver Experience: At least 1 year of caregiver experience is required.
  • Computer proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in utilizing computers for various tasks, including sending and managing emails with attachments, using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail). CRM or scheduling software experience a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Flexible Schedule: Candidate must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs which could include nights and weekends.
  • Compassion and empathy: A genuine desire to help others and understand their needs and challenges.
  • Can demonstrate a knack for identifying and solving problems effectively, whether in the office or client’s home.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Building trust and rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience and flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm in challenging circumstances.
  • Observation and attention to detail: Identifying subtle changes in clients' conditions and ensuring accuracy in tasks.
  • Time management and organization: Effectively prioritizing tasks and managing schedules for both caregiving and administrative responsibilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
