Position Summary
Position ensures the smooth flow of scheduling, pre-registration, completed documentation, patient education and interdepartmental collaboration, assists with Clinical Trials enrollment, and oversees the timely completion of requests for consultations.
Education
RN undergraduate degree required.
Experience
Five years as an RN in a clinical setting, experience in customer relations in a physician practice setting preferred.
Skills
Current and valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of CPR Certification, IV Certification and Unit Based Orientation, which includes the appropriate age and development competencies of the patient population served on the Unit. Demonstrates effective interactive and communication (oral, written, presentation) skills. Demonstrates working knowledge of good clinical practice. Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system; with patients and family members; and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Lab, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management skills to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve and deliver care.
