Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Highland Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our growing leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong, team-oriented nurse leader who is passionate about high-quality patient care.
About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the daily functions of the Nursing Department. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and helps maintain the highest level of resident care.
You will work closely with nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families to promote a collaborative, patient-focused care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, dignified care to residents
- Maintain established standards of nursing practice and regulatory compliance
- Assist with onboarding, training, and education for nursing staff
- Support the implementation of new policies and procedures
- Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and risk management programs
- Conduct daily rounds to observe care, identify issues, and support staff
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families regarding care needs
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Illinois
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable work history and commitment to teamwork
- Passion for providing genuine, community-centered care
