The Registered Nurse is a member of the Coordinated Care Clinic multi-disciplinary team providing care for a diverse population of patients and their families in multiple settings including the inmate population in the jail setting. This multi-disciplinary team will execute Patient and Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, their families, and co-workers and will address all aspects of life that promote health and well-being with an emphasis on social determinants of health. The Registered Nurse's main function is to assess, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the care of patients and their families. This position functions within scope of practice as defined by certification/licensure standards and state and federal regulations. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs, participating in professional organizations, subscribing to and reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.

Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $38.20 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Pay range: $38.20 - $57.31 per hour

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; bachelors or master's in nursing preferred
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
- BCA background check required before working the Jail.
- Public Health Certification preferred
- Two years of successful clinical or community-based experience in similar setting preferred (i.e. county jail, prison, juvenile correctional facility, urgent care, emergency room, etc.)
- Must have ability and skills to communicate information to the inmate, correctional staff, providers, various medical staff, and community partners.
- Strong organization skills, ability to work independently in a team setting with minimal supervision, and ability to effectively deal with difficult patients at times.
