Essential Job Functions
- Evaluates and administers appropriate treatment plan for the urgent care patient in conjunction with the supervising physician.
- Provides patient and/or family information regarding treatment or procedures, condition and expectation during illness or recovery. Provides patient education/counseling and instruction regarding common patient problems.
- Formulates differential diagnoses by priority considering multiple potential mechanisms causing complex acute, critical, and chronic illness states.
- Demonstrates effective verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, including documentation according to established standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Displays commitment to expanding his/her knowledge base and views this as a continuous process to maintain professional and personal growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Doctor of Nursing Practice
- One year experience working as CRNP.
- Experience in Healthcare setting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).
- Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
