Responsibilities:

Registered nurses are the heartbeat of healthcare, wearing many hats every day to provide exceptional care to their patients. Their primary mission is to ensure that every resident receives the precise, compassionate care they need to thrive.

Supervises Nursing care services and staff on all nursing units while on duty.
Monitors staff performance to ensure that plan of Care of all residents is being followed, and that Nursing care is properly documented.
Prepares the Twenty- Four (24) Status Report.
Assists with planning and daily coordination of staff schedules for assigned shifts.
Maintains Infectious Control Standards and provides education and support to staff and residents as needed.
Provides first aid and completion of Accident Incident Report for staff and visitors; explores Accident/incidents of residents as notified.
Coordinates laboratory, x-ray, oxygen services on the premises and records billing information for continuous oxygen use.
Assists with orientation and training programs for staff.
Conducts in service education programs, upon request.
Ensures that high standards of care are met, and that resident’s rights are protected and personal preferences are respected.
Carries out other work requests of the Director of Nursing Services.

Professional Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
Current Licensed Registered Nurse in State of New York
Minimum 1 year experience
Current CPR certification.
