Job Summary and Qualifications

At Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable registered nurse for our Float Pool. In this role, you will be required to administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs as well as assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. · You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers

· On our team, you will be responsible for possessing the knowledge and skills to provide quality nursing care via the nursing process

· You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care

· On our team, you will guide and be a resource for new employees

· You will perform job tasks to ensure patient, personal and departmental safety

· Instructing and educating patients and families is a daily responsibility

Requirements

  • Must hold a current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia
  • ADN degree (BSN preferred)
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute experience
  • Experience in at least two of the following categories: In-Patient / Emergency Room / ICU, PCU, Medical / Surgical, Behavioral Health
