Provide essential nursing care in a K-12 school environment in the Los Angeles area, supporting students' health and well-being throughout the school year. This full-time, onsite position involves working weekdays from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, covering multiple elementary through high schools within the school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver diabetic care, nutrition guidance, and basic first aid to students as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising nurse assigned to each school site.
- Participate in training provided by the school district to stay current on protocols and best practices.
- Adapt to varying assignments and schedules based on the evolving health needs of the student population.
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Flexibility to manage changing caseloads and responsibilities.
