A healthcare professional with an active LVN license is needed to provide nursing support within a K-12 school setting in Long Beach, CA. This full-time contract position, lasting from January to June 2026, involves working onsite across multiple elementary and high schools to deliver essential nursing care to students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing diabetic care and nutrition support for students
  • Providing basic first aid and emergency care when needed
  • Collaborating under the supervision of the assigned school nurse
  • Participating in training provided by the school district to maintain compliant care standards
  • Adapting to changes in assignment according to student and school requirements

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
  • Current CPR and BLS certification
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple cases across different grade levels, from elementary through high school
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and environments

This role is based onsite in a school district located in the Long Beach area, focusing on comprehensive nursing support in an educational environment. Commitment to working full time, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM is required.
