A healthcare facility in Livingston, Montana is seeking an experienced Travel Director of Nursing (DON) for an immediate 13‑week assignment. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned nurse leader who can provide operational oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high‑quality patient care across the nursing department.
Position Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 5×8, variable schedule
Start Date: ASAP
Weekly Gross Pay: $2100–$3286, depending on experience and facility needs
Requirements
Active RN license (state‑specific or compact, as applicable)
Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably as a DON or Nurse Manager
Strong understanding of regulatory standards, quality initiatives, and survey readiness
Proven ability to lead teams, manage staffing, and support clinical operations
BLS required; additional leadership or specialty certifications preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Typical Director of Nursing Duties
Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high‑quality patient care
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness
Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to meet organizational goals
Monitor clinical outcomes, documentation standards, and patient satisfaction
Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and policy development
