The NP/PA will provide healthcare in ambulatory and acute care health care settings with a focus on children with the full spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery related conditions which may include but are not limited to, congenital conditions related to the extremities, face and skull in addition to wounds, nevi, cysts, and soft tissue and skeletal trauma. The NP/PA will primarily have an outpatient/clinic role but liaison closely with the inpatient pediatric plastic surgery team and multiple other multi-disciplinary teams that plastic surgery participates in. The NP/PA has didactic education, clinical competency and national certification in identified area of clinical practice. The NP/PA demonstrates medical knowledge, clinical judgment, technical competence, professionalism, interpersonal communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and is responsible for professional development and competency validation. .
