Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team, with additional responsibilities in Occupational Health. Position Overview

  • Provide urgent care and occupational health services to patients of all ages

  • Perform evaluations, minor procedures (e.g., sutures, casts, splints), and interpret basic EKGs and X-rays

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams to deliver timely, effective care

  • Occasional travel to cover Occupational Health shifts in Boardman, Oregon


Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct physical exams, patient assessments, and medical histories

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

  • Order and interpret diagnostic and lab tests

  • Develop and update treatment and care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments

  • Monitor patient progress and modify plans as needed

  • Educate patients and families on health management and prevention

  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes


Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in Oregon (or ability to obtain)

  • Current DEA license (or ability to obtain)

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test that aligns with federal drug testing regulations

  • DOT Physical Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and any specialty-specific certifications required

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred (open to qualified new graduates)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Flexibility to work variable shifts and occasional coverage in Boardman
