Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care for students with special needs in a 1:1 capacity
Monitor and manage students medical needs, including feeding tubes and emergency interventions
Assist as a classroom aide when the student is absent or additional support is needed
Utilize clinical skills to respond to seizures and administer emergency medication
Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student health and learning

Qualifications and Experience:

Active Illinois RN professional license required; LPN candidates may be considered
CPR and BLS certification mandatory
Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or special needs
Proficient with G-tube, J-tube, NG tube feeding (bolus and pumps)
Experienced with seizure observation and related emergency treatment
Knowledge of tracheostomy care and suctioning is highly desirable
