An opportunity is available for a Licensed Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care within a K-12 educational setting, supporting students with special needs. This full-time, semester-long contract role is based in Lisle, IL, with assignments spanning two program locations focused on individualized student care.

Location & Duration:

First Assignment: Lisle South Location, January 5, 2026 May 22, 2026
Second Assignment: Transition Program in Lisle, IL, starting ASAP through May 22, 2026
Hours: 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, full-time schedule

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to students with special health care needs
Assist as a classroom aide when appropriate and when the assigned student is not in need of nursing services
Manage medical needs including G-tube/J-tube/NG tube feeding (bolus and pump methods)
Monitor and respond to seizures, including administration of emergency medication
Utilize tracheostomy and suctioning skills where applicable
Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure a safe, healthy environment

Qualifications:

Current Illinois RN Professional License (LPNs may be considered)
Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably with pediatrics and/or special needs populations
Practical experience with feeding tubes and seizure management is essential
Familiarity with tracheostomy care is considered an asset
