A full-time nursing professional is needed for a unique opportunity within a K-12 educational cooperative serving special education programs across multiple districts in Lisle, IL. This contract role spans a full semester, providing essential healthcare support to students with special needs in two different program settings.

Location and Schedule:

  • First assignment: Lisle South Location | January 5, 2026 – May 22, 2026
  • Second assignment: Transition Program | ASAP – May 22, 2026
  • Hours for both assignments: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM, full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with complex medical needs
  • Monitor and manage feeding tubes (G-tube, J-tube, NG tube) including bolus and pump feeds
  • Observe and respond appropriately to seizures, including administering emergency medications
  • Assist with tracheostomy care and suctioning, when applicable
  • Support classroom activities as an aide when the assigned student is not present
  • Collaborate with educational and healthcare teams to ensure the well-being of students

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Illinois RN Professional License required; LPNs with relevant experience will be considered
  • CPR and BLS certification mandatory
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or special needs care
  • Hands-on experience with feeding tubes and seizure management
  • Familiarity with tracheostomy care and suctioning is a plus
