UW Medical Center-Northwest - Vascular Center has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3). This is a supervisory position reporting to the Clinic Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full time / 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm
Department Description
Our Vascular Center is a fast-paced, multifaceted clinic providing a broad mix of inpatient and outpatient procedures, each enhanced by the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Our vascular surgeons take a multidisciplinary approach to care and are uniquely equipped to tackle challenging diseases, acute and chronic alike. Common procedures we perform include carotid endarterectomy, TEVAR/EVAR (endovascular thoracic/aortic repair), varicose vein stripping, first rib resection, carotid and iliac artery stenting, saphenous vein ablation and fistulograms with angioplasty.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

- Supervise a close-knit team
- Work closely with the Clinic Manager to facilitate daily operations of the Vascular Clinic and Vascular Procedure Center
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains credibility as the leader of day-to-day clinic operations
- Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps towards a resolution
- Provides feedback to the Clinic Manager for annual performance evaluations
- Responsible for staff schedule and Kronos timekeeping in collaboration with Clinic Manager
- Resolves unplanned absences, following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool Protocols
- Develops, coordinates, and maintains work processes to ensure the clinic runs successfully
- Establishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinic
- Assists with screening / interview process for Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants
- Manages orientation and educational programs for newly-hired staff
- Performs Annual Competencies for RN & MA staff
- In-basket triage, telephone triage, care coordination
- Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
- Performs general clinic RN responsibilities when needed
Requirements
- 2 years of recent ICU, PACU, vascular, procedural or ambulatory nursing experience
- Familiarity with conscious sedation
- Previous charge, lead, or supervisory work experience
- BLS (required by start date)
- ACLS (required by start date)
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

$49.23 hourly

$90.33 hourly
Other Compensation
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (for eligible new employees) BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Overtime pay
