We are Looking for:
The Medical Assistant (MA) in our Urology clinic plays a vital role in supporting physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This position involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during urologic procedures and exams.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as catheter changes, bladder scans, and specimen collection (urine, blood).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Handle patient inquiries and provide education regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Follow infection control protocols and clinic safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Must be bilingual
- Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
