Patient Population: OB patients >20 weeks gestation

Patient Ratios: 1:2 (L&D); 1:2-3 (OB Triage- contingent on OB patient acuity, phase of care and census)

Number of Beds: 10 L&D rooms, 2 OB Triage

Registered Nurse Requirements

·         18mo/1.5yr of experience in Labor and Delivery, preferably at level III or higher

·         Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program

·         License/Certification

o   RN – Registered Nurse

o   BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

o   ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

o   NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 30 days of hire)

o   AWHONN intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (required within 30 days of hire)
